Ryan (newest of the seemingly endless cycle of roommates) and I went sharing today at UNAM and had some fun conversations. We wish our Spanish was better, and our cultural savvy, too.
Some people gathered to watch X-men (the first one) having seen the prequel. Wolverine lost some of his awesome with his memory, it seems.
I'll relax this weekend, then spend the next week and a half hanging out with Mexican friends before I head stateside. Keep praying that God will use me here - to raise up those who will share the gospel.

game
Israel and I played racquetball today, then shared the gospel, then played computer games. Some days I feel outright guilty for getting paid for "working" as a missionary.
It was a good day, though, and neither of us got sunburned like last time.
Tomorrow is probably the last day I'll be going to UNAM to share the gospel; I'll probably spend the week and a half after this weekend hanging out with friends that I've made, and I might try to go camping. Maybe.
Pray that I'll finish well.

wet
One the way back from UNAM today, Israel and I got rained on ... really heavily. It was way out of the normal for recent weather.
I asked Israel whether or not it was weird for there to be heavy rain this time of year, and he said, "I don't really pay attention to what time of year it is."
Oh, well.
Keep praying that we'll share the gospel.

stammering
E’er since, by faith, I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die.
And shall be till I die, and shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die.
Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I’ll sing Thy power to save,
When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.
Lies silent in the grave, lies silent in the grave;
When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.
Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die.
And shall be till I die, and shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die.
Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I’ll sing Thy power to save,
When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.
Lies silent in the grave, lies silent in the grave;
When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.

expounded
A pretty relaxed Sunday.
The sermon was an exposition of the gospel and a correct (and hopefully wise) course to take after receiving the good news of Jesus Christ.
Had lunch with Ryan and chilled for the rest of the afternoon before
going back to listen to live Jazz. Again.
Wonderful.
Praise God for good music.

lazy
Thought I might go hiking today, but we never quite followed through with our plans. Instead, I took the day to clean around the apartment, buy some food, and cook beef stew.
The stew turned out well, especially for a first try. Beef is amazingly tasty stuff.
Praise God for slow days and beef.

quadruple
I got a new roommate today. Ryan is here for two weeks to get a feel for Latin-American evangelism and ministry. We headed to UNAM this morning to share the gospel for a few minutes before we booked it back to the flat to be there while guys repair the ceiling in our half bath.
When somebody new gets in town, it's fun to realize how much of the city I now know and take as part of my life without even thinking about it.
Pray that God will continue to use us to share his gospel.
