specific

I've been thinking on and off about what to post on this blog. While stories and pictures of a trip to Washington are cool, and pretty interesting, they don't have much at all to do with missionary work, the progress of the gospel, prayer or, well, anything really lasting. I've been thinking, “what sort of image do I want my supporters and friends to get?” and “what will best enable those people to pray for me?” and “will anyone actually read these posts?”
It occurred to me that IF you do in fact care enough to get online to read what I write, you will probably 1) be interested in day to day stuff and 2) want to be able to pray specifically for what is actually going on. So I think I want to post day-to-day stuff like finding a good coffee shop, my struggles individually and our struggles as a team. That way, you can pray for the things that (I think) matter, and feel like you actually have an idea of what we're up to.

Today, I returned to an excellent coffee shop. My family and I ate pastries and drank espresso before returning to Houston.
You can pray for plane tickets - it's looking like getting the right flights outa here, to Colorado for training and then Mexico for ministry, could be a little ... hairy.
