better

Today I received several comments on my Spanish - that it's getting better. Which is good, but I still feel like Tom Hanks in "Terminal" - a bunch of really important information everywhere, but no real way to understand it. (No Catherine Zeta-Jones to fall in love with, but I do like Jazz.)
Today is the end of retreat two. Same place, just this time almost everyone was Campus Crusade for Christ staff. It was a sort of bummer, since the retreat was supposed to be a training weekend for students. You guys can pray that we would be wise in understanding how to reach and train and encourage Mexican students to courageously fight against the forces of darkness.

John, its so great to read your blogs...thanks for being so open and honest! I read this and thought about you and the students in Mexico:
'O Lord, Your hand is lifted up yet they do not see it.
They see Your zeal for the people and are put to shame; Indeed fire will devour Your enemies.
Lord, You will establish peace for us, Since you have also performed for us all our works.
O Lord our God, other masters besides You have ruled us; But through You alone we confess Your name.'
...Keep reading Isaiah 26:11-19...( I especially like 18-19!); its great! I'm still praying for you ;] You are doing amazing!

John -
Finally had an opportunity to find your blog -- and I have enjoyed catching up on all that you are experiencing with this trip! I will continue to stay in touch and keep you in my prayers! As you get established in a more permanent location, drop me a note with a mailing address if that is a possibility!
Love you!!
