Then I headed out the door to wander the streets looking like a gringo writing down numbers (because I am a gringo writing down numbers). By the end of the day (8:00) my hips were sore from standing for so long. Amazon Sauce on chicken with black beans and rice fixes just about everything, though, so my hips are doing a lot better. :)
Apartments where we're looking range from insanely nice to ... livable, but not something you'd walk into and say "yeah, I like this." Some places tend to engender thoughts of "well, if we cleaned for a reallly long time, we might be able to make food."
This place was nice, well-priced, and ready for rent, but it was orange. Saw'em off Short.

oh well, its a lighter shade of orange! At least it can serve as a reminder to pray for T.U.-ers and other "not-so-fond-of-you" people ;]
Believe it or not, Orange can start to grow on even an old Ag. You will get used to it, especially if it is in the right location, right price, and clean!
Couldn't help but notice the mistake in your second to last paragraph... you used the conjunction "but," when I think you were really looking for "and." "AND it's ORANGE!!!!!1!11!1111!" is probably more what you were going for. No problem, though, Grammar Nazi will let this one slide for now.
