petrified

Today I went onto campus (for the first time in Mexico) to chat with a student. I was absolutely terrified, certain that I am and will always be absolutely incapable of filling the role of a CCC intern, challenging people to live for Jesus Christ in a second language.
One of my fellow STINTers faithfully reminded me that 1) I was right - I'm not at all qualified to do God's work and 2) that the almighty creator of the universe has chosen to use me to do his work anyway. Not that I didn't have some butterflies walking past security.
At any rate, Tonio is right on track leading men and women at "Tec" in centering their lives around the good news of Jesus Christ, and I left after four hours of awesome conversation thinking "nope, God doesn't need me to do his work, but I'm excited he's chosen me to do it anyway."
God is good and he loves me.
Also, folks on our team(s) are on the upswing physically, we might have a good lead on the apartment, and I got to have a really good conversation about sheep and wolves and spiritual warfare and God's grace with a teammate.
All in all: really awesome day. Gig'em God.
