So today was a little of a disappointment, mainly characterized by sitting around the house reading while waiting to be called to go get coffee and "do work." I don't know what happened, but I ended up waiting a long time. I even got tired of reading.
But then Tim came home and we got to chat extensively about what we're learning. Really good. Mainly, we're learning how to relate to each other and also we're learning how to be brothers to our sister teammates.
And THEN I went to go hang out with three friends to study the bible for a little. It was really cool to try to participate in a Spanish bible study. I understood a lot. Praise God for being able to recognize passages and figure out the words from what you know it says. But there was this guy at the study who rode some of the way back on the metro with me, and you know what?
He might want to be a cross-cultural missionary.
To the middle east.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! And pray that he will give his Mexican people a strong foundation in his word, a deep understanding of his truth, and a readiness to take light into darkness.

Pray that God would use us to enable Mexican college students to 1) center their lives around the gospel and 2) raise up the next generation of Mexicans to be laborers for the gospel.
