revolutionary

I've been reading Revolution in World Missions over the past several days. K.P. Yohannan confronts a lot of the stuff that has been bugging me in my last four months here in Mexico City. He says things like "the apostles did not fear to tell the beggar that 'Silver and gold I have none; but such as I have I give thee...'(Acts 3:6). Then they preached the gospel." He also says, "In most of the nations in which we support local missionaries, they are able to survive on US$2 to US$4 a day. In most cases, this is appoximately the same per capita income of the people to whom they are ministering."
Please pray that God will give me clear conviction and clear thinking as I think through my own missionary lifestyle and my missionary strategy.
And do read his book.
