You know that feeling when you were a little kid and you realized you had no idea where your mom was in the grocery store? Even though you know mom (probably) won't leave the store without you, there's still that panic that starts welling up making you want to scream for help in the candy isle.
I always knew there was the possibility of heading to the lady at the front to ask her to page your mom for you, but the lady is scary, so I just ended up speed-walking past isles looking for the right shopping cart.
Leadership here in Mexico City asked me a few days to help lead the summer project that's headed down here in a few months. I accepted, and I'm starting to feel like a little kid lost in the grocery store. I always assumed some of the stuff for summer project just happened automatically. It doesn't. Not even the dates or the budget is a given - I've got a lot of decisions to make in the next few days before we start telling people how to get ready to come down for the summer.
So you guys can PRAY. For wisdom, discernment, gentleness with everyone, and perseverance in the job I've already got on Mexico City campuses.

WOW... I will pray
Hey, that's so cool that they asked you to do that! I'll be praying. Have fun with my OU friends this spring break. I'm jealous.
Sweet, man! Tear up that summer project!
John,
What an awesome opportunity! You be the man. You are His workmanship created for this work that God prepared beforehand! I'm praying for you. And I'm very sure that your mother would have never left you in the grocery store, just like God never leaves us when He has given us work that is not humanly possible to carry out on our own. :)
