caged

Didn't do much today besides go running. I kept opening my computer hoping it would entertain me, but, yet again, it's only a tool.
We warmed up chicken and mole sauce for dinner.
People are coming over for "church" tomorrow at our apartment (team members, that is - we're not to be fraternizing with potentially flu-ridden locals). I'm going to attempt pancakes for 12.

So you can pray that the pancakes go well, and that church is fun, not weird.

two questions:
1) did you flip the pancakes in the air like all of the cool people do?
2) what are your new plans for the summer? staying in Mexico?

John -
You have been in my thoughts and prayers for over a week, now. Crazy things are going on here as well. But as I think about where you are, and your "mission" in being where you are -- I have to believe "the enemy" is always at work in our lives -- especially in yours. I think you may have been making great progress, and with the earthquake situation and now this "pandemic", the enemy has been at work to disrupt your work. So I am praying that this roadblock be removed from your mission in Mexico and that you are also able to come home safely. I pray that you feel fulfilled in all that you have accomplished. I think great works have been accomplished and God has had you just where He needed you -- when He needed you. So continue to have faith, but do not be discouraged! You have disrupted the work of the enemy!

Love you much -
