God was really good to give me a positive attitude as we bummed on the couch and the floor for the past two weeks, but we realized today that we may have been using our unstable living situation and newness to this place to feel like we didn't need to go to campuses. In two weeks in the city (since language school) I've spent only five days with students - the rest seems to have been swallowed by training and "admin" and ... I don't really know what. We're anxious to be out of this (remarkably comfortable) apartment and into something closer to our team. We're anxious to be in a routine of actually spending time with students.
The retreat was awesome. I had a blast, and I worked on some Spanish comprehension, and I built some friendships with some pretty radically awesome Mexican students.
Toño and Fer are the student leaders of a semi-covert movement at one of Mexico's very best universities. Please pray that God would use them to challenge a generation of Mexican college students to reach their world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
