terrifying

So if I thought meeting strangers who don't speak English was scary, I ran into a whole new ball game today - calling complete strangers on their phone ... in Spanish. Talk about out of my skill level.
But I gave it a shot and managed to set up a time to meet with a guy who lives outside of the city. It struck me that there's really no way I'll be able to effectively have a working relationship with the guy - I'll probably have an hour to encourage him, challenge him, and point him in the "right direction" before all I can do is pray for him. And then I remembered that we were studying Colossians in our bible study, and Paul has never met the guys, but says "we have not stopped praying for you." I think maybe my ideas about my actual significance in this whole thing probably need to be reorganized.
Said adios to Kat, the two-year STINTer who is passing off her relationships (some of them) to me. It's pretty neat to see fifty-some-odd people who have all been challenged to walk with Jesus Christ as a result of here life here.
Pray that God will use us to lead people in following him.
